“An Ever Increasing Wave” is about facing the damage that is caused by depression; about mentally disintegrating in the face of overwhelming and yet ultimately futile rage; a helpless fury amplified by the realisation that the
damage is not confined to the sufferer, but is also destroying those around them.

There is something deeply unsettled deep inside of me –
Some monumental error that is stuck now on repeat –
Like plate tectonics
The shift has been slow
But the pressure is building
And the cracks are beginning to show….

…and violence fills my frame
The hot magma of anger
Dominates me once again.

I am destroying myself.
The realization is profound
And it grieves me:
For what is left
Of which I can be proud?

There is a point of detonation which I again have breached –
Some failure of the systems that are meant to give relief –
Like a chain reaction
Which now escapes control:
The death throes of a dying star
Flailing at my soul…

…the void left in its wake
Can only ever be filled
By an ever-increasing wave…

FUCK.
